Attack on the Airfield in the Kursk Region

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian troops struck "a number of important targets of the Russian occupiers" during the night, including in the Kursk region of Russia.

OSINT analysts from the Ukrainian project "Cyberboroshno" and the Russian publication Astra claimed that the strike was carried out with ATACMS missiles on the airfield in the Kursk region and the positions of the S-400 air defense system, which attempted to repel the attack.

"Militarny" noted that this attack on a Russian airfield using ATACMS missiles was the first of its kind for the Ukrainian military.

Plane Crash in Lithuania

At approximately 5:30 AM local time, a cargo plane, a Boeing 737-476(SF) belonging to the Spanish airline SwiftAir, crashed near Vilnius International Airport. It was transporting goods for the German company DHL.

There were 4 people on board. One person, a citizen of Spain, died, while three others — citizens of Spain, Germany, and Lithuania — were injured and hospitalized.

The head of the Department of Transportation Accidents and Incidents of the Ministry of Justice of Lithuania, Laurynas Naujokaitis, described the aviation disaster as "likely the first incident of this scale in the history of independent Lithuania."

Lithuanian authorities do not rule out the possibility of a terrorist act involving the plane. However, they lean towards theories of technical malfunctions or human error.

Deputy Denies His Own Words About Displaced Persons

People's Deputy and member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Human Rights, Maxim Tkachенко, referred to his statements about 150,000 displaced persons allegedly returning to occupied territories as his own assumption.

"There is no such data. That was my unfounded and emotional assumption", he stated.

Rada Proposes Lowering the Age for Mobilization

A bill has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada proposing to lower the upper age limit for mobilization from 60 to 55 years. The explanatory note to the document states that the physical health of most men aged 55 to 60 is unsatisfactory and that the "army is aging."

At the same time, the bill suggests retaining the right to military service for citizens over 55 years old, should they express such a desire.

Zelensky's Law "Killed" Provisions on Confiscation of Corrupt Officials' Property

People's Deputy Anastasia Radina stated that the recently adopted law depriving collaborators of state awards "erased" the provision on the confiscation of property from corrupt officials who cooperated with the investigation from Article 77 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine norm.

The Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration and Minister of Justice Olga Stefanishina called the repeal of the provision a "technical ricochet." According to her, the government and European partners are concerned about this situation, and efforts are being made in Ukraine to rectify it.
