The preliminary results indicate that Milanović has won, based on the counting of votes from 98.65% of polling stations.

According to the state electoral commission's results, Milanović from the opposition Social Democratic Party led on January 12, receiving 74.58% of the votes.

In contrast, Dragan Primorac from the ruling Croatian Democratic Union received 25.42%.

The voter turnout was 44.15%.

"Croatia, thank you. For me personally, this is a significant day, and I perceive this victory as recognition of my efforts, a kind of act of trust from the people towards me," noted Milanović.

He told journalists that he had carried out his duties sincerely over the past five years, and he hopes that people recognized this.

Recall that in Germany, early parliamentary elections are scheduled for February 23. The Social Democratic Party and far-right political forces have already nominated their candidates.

Additionally, Belarus has decided not to invite the OSCE mission to observe the presidential elections planned for January 26.
