What happens if a conscript fails to attend a medical examination? This was explained exclusively for Novini.LIVE by lawyer Vladislav Lukyanenko from "VERITI GROUP".
According to the changes made to the legislation, individuals classified as "conditionally fit" are required to undergo a repeated medical examination within 9 months. This period is counted from the date the new mobilization law comes into effect.
"If a person with the status of 'conditionally fit' does not undergo the repeated examination by 05.02.2025, the information in the mobile application 'Reserve+' should remain unchanged. However, if the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCRC) sends or hands over a summons for the medical commission, and the conscript does not comply with the terms of this summons, their status will be displayed as 'wanted', — said the lawyer.
According to the lawyer, this constitutes a direct violation of military registration rules or legislation on defense, mobilization preparation, and mobilization. For such a violation, a fine of 17,000 to 25,500 UAH may be imposed.
It is important to note the difference between whether you received a summons for the medical commission or not. If you did not attend the repeated commission without a summons, it may not have any consequences. However, if you failed to appear for the medical commission due to a summons, then a fine can definitely be expected.
We remind you that Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated that the deadline for passing the medical commission for those classified as conditionally fit may be extended. These changes are being discussed due to the enormous queues. Vereshchuk described the organization of the process as unsatisfactory.
