According to Dulyaba, each community presented a unique Kolyada specific to their region, particularly the Carpathian, Polissia, and Lviv regions.

"The festival saw the participation of 40 groups from 38 territorial communities. These include folk, vocal, and children's ensembles that showcase the Kolyadky from their regions. There are representatives from the Carpathian and Polissia regions, as well as Lviv. Each community presents its authentic Kolyada," she stated.

The head of the folk art department added that in addition to performing Kolyadky, the festival also featured Christmas stars, which are part of Ukraine's intangible cultural heritage.

"During the regional Kolyada festival, Christmas stars were also presented today. Our star has received the status of an element of intangible cultural heritage recognized by UNESCO. Additionally, there was a procession and presentation of Christmas stars," Dulyaba concluded.

Earlier, we reported that a world record was set in the city of Chernivtsi for the number of people singing Kolyadka simultaneously. This achievement was recorded by representatives of the Book of World Records.

And the mayor of Lviv, Andriy Sadovy, showed how Christmas is celebrated in Lviv during the war.
