Trump advised Ukraine to move on from NATO.

Donald Trump made this statement during a press conference on Wednesday, February 26.

Trump Comments on Ukraine's NATO Membership

U.S. President Donald Trump stated that both sides will need to make concessions. He added that he would attempt to raise the issue of returning part of the occupied territories to Kyiv.

"I won't discuss this right now (Regarding the possible concessions that Ukraine needs to make. — Ed.). I can say, forget about NATO. That is probably the reason why everything started," he said.

Additionally, Donald Trump announced a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. The conversation will take place in Washington on February 28.

Moreover, the U.S. President stated that he will not provide security guarantees to Ukraine. Donald Trump believes that Europe should take on this responsibility.
