This was reported by his mother, Oksana, to Novini.LIVE.
According to the woman, her son was drafted on August 3 and went missing on October 30. He spent a whole month at combat positions in Donbas without being rotated until he disappeared.
"And he is happy that he lasted a whole month. Because others went missing on the second or third day. For a whole month, he did not get in touch, and we searched for him everywhere we could. We contacted the command, who called there on the radio, and they reported to us that our son was alive and healthy, stationed at his position. On October 30, I was told the same thing, and just two days later, we were informed that he went missing that day," the woman recounted.
31-year-old Bohdan served in the separate presidential brigade named after B. Khmelnytsky in the 21st battalion. He was very proud of his service, even though the brigade has no relation to the President.
"We hoped he would be a medic because he has a medical education, but it turned out that he was assigned to the front line right away. This was despite the fact that the VVK had determined he should serve in rear areas. Before his service, our son worked in support roles for defense. He had an exemption, but when he went to update his information at the TCK, he was taken," Oksana explained.
In addition to her son Bohdan, her daughter was also involved in the war. She spent 2.5 years in an evacuation brigade in Kharkiv region. Thus, the last three years have been challenging for Oksana. However, she admits that her daughter's character helps her stay strong.
"We search, wait, and hope to hug Bohdan alive and healthy. This is such a cry from a mother’s soul; I just want to wait for them all, to hear their voices. It's very hard; there's no life, no sleep, nothing. But I pulled myself together and try not to despair. I know I will be needed by my son when he returns. He hasn’t had a family yet, so who will support him if not his mother? We really hope he is in captivity," the woman concluded.
We remind you that Tatiana has been attending rallies for prisoners of war and the missing for the past year because she wants to find out the truth about her brother Oleg Gurko, who went missing two years ago.
Meanwhile, Kyiv resident Tatiana still has not received the body of her deceased brother, who died during the battles for Mariupol in 2022. She has no information regarding his whereabouts.
