Details on how to apply for benefits were provided by the Odesa Regional TCC and SP.
According to TCC representatives, the one-time financial assistance is a guaranteed payment offered to family members of military personnel who have died in combat or as a result of concussion, injury, or disability.
It is important to note that an amendment was introduced last May allowing military personnel to designate who is entitled to receive this payment and in what amounts.
"Relatives can submit an application for assistance at any TCC and SP. They will submit a request, undergo personal data processing, and confirm their relationship with the deceased," notes RTC employee Natalia Fedyai.
However, it should be added that such an application can be submitted within three years after the military's death. The amount is 15 million and is paid in two stages: 1/5 of the portion that the relative is entitled to. It is then disbursed in equal parts over 40 months.
Individuals who have committed administrative or criminal offenses are not entitled to the one-time financial assistance. Likewise, those who provide false information about their relatives.
"Citizens of the Russian Federation and Belarus cannot receive the funds. Additionally, individuals who have been residing in their territories for an extended period are also excluded," summarizes Natalia Fedyai.
As a reminder, the Pension Fund has discussed whether benefits for veterans with disabilities will be reduced.
We also wrote about whether there are benefits upon dismissing from the Armed Forces of Ukraine at one's request.
