Business trips of Kyiv officials will undergo thorough scrutiny, according to the Kyiv City State Administration.

This was stated by the representative of the Kyiv City State Administration, Yevgeny Ievlev, during the Vechir.LIVE broadcast on Wednesday, February 26.

Inspections of Business Trips by City Officials

Ievlev noted that there is indeed a need for business trips abroad. There are meetings where the presence of officials is mandatory or highly necessary. However, the key question is whether it is appropriate for officials to take advantage of the opportunity to travel outside Ukraine.

"A lot of officials from various government bodies have used these trips rather inappropriately. While on business trips, photos would emerge from their significant others showing them at resorts, to put it mildly," Ievlev remarked.

He explained that business trips will now be monitored. This is related not only to the inappropriate travel of officials abroad but also to national security concerns.

"This does not mean that Timur Tkachenko (Head of the Kyiv City State Administration — Ed.) will make unilateral decisions about whether to allow someone to travel or not. However, these decisions will be subject to detailed review by law enforcement agencies — the Security Service of Ukraine and the National Police," Ievlev stated.

Recall that a judge from the Kyiv region went on a cruise in the Caribbean. To do this, the official forged documents. His lawyer will also be prosecuted.

Additionally, the former director of the gas operator in Kyiv traveled abroad with forged documents. Moreover, he failed to pay 18 billion hryvnias in dividends to the budget.
