Zaluzhny: Ukraine is negotiating with the UK to train "completely new" officials.

The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom, Valeriy Zaluzhny, stated this during the annual general meeting of the European Business Association, as quoted by "Interfax-Ukraine".

He explains that this project will ensure that "in 20 years, there will be completely different officials in Ukraine, with a completely different attitude towards the enforcement of laws and business."

Zaluzhny mentions that the British elite has "almost been convinced" that the education of Ukrainian officials will be a "guaranteed preservation of their investments."

In his view, this education could be provided to future Ukrainian ministers, prime ministers, governors, and even the future president.

At the same time, the UK Parliament is currently considering lifting some legislative restrictions on direct investments in arms production in Ukraine. The Ukrainian ambassador believes that this issue will soon be resolved, as the UK is interested in modernizing its armed forces with the help of Ukrainian defense technologies.

Among other potential areas for British investment in Ukraine, Zaluzhny mentioned energy security and the IT sector.
