Drones launched from Kursk were shot down in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Poltava, and Kyiv regions. The remaining 38 drones were lost in location—likely due to electronic warfare measures.
The Sumy regional military administration stated that Ukrainian air defense forces shot down 11 Russian drones over the region.
No reports of destruction or casualties in the Sumy region have been made. There is also no information about this in other regions of Ukraine where air defense was active.
On the eve of a combined air attack on Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelensky declared an "effective response" from the air defense forces. According to him, "Our forces have the means to protect the country from Russian terror."
