The Logistics Forces responded, stating that the 151st brigade received defective mines.

This was stated by the Deputy Head of the Central Department for Providing Armament and Military Equipment of the Logistics Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vladimir Grebenyuk, as reported by a correspondent from hromadske.

According to him, on January 13, a commission concluded its work in the 151st Brigade, finding no evidence that soldiers were provided with defective mines.

“There has not been a single case of a fuse failure or incorrect activation. This has already been confirmed by tests,” Grebenyuk noted.

Information about defective mines in the 151st Brigade was reported by the publication “Censor.NET” citing sources. Its editor-in-chief, Yuri Butusov, posted a video allegedly showing mortarmen from this brigade. In it, the military complained about faulty fuses.

In total, according to Butusov, over 60,000 mines of 82 mm caliber, which could have defects, were supplied to the troops. The journalist claimed that the personnel of the 151st Brigade were allegedly being forced to sign reports stating that they had not received mines of this series at all and had not recorded any video.

On January 9, “Censor.NET” reported that following media publications, the defective mines in the 151st Brigade were replaced with quality ones produced by NATO countries.

At the same time, the Minister for Strategic Industries, Herman Smetanin, stated at a briefing on January 13 that he did not understand why Yuri Butusov spread this information.
