This was reported by the Russian appointee in Crimea, Mikhail Razvozhaev.
According to him, the car exploded on Shevchenko Street. Rescuers who arrived at the scene evacuated the driver from the car, but medical personnel were unable to save him, and he passed away.
The driver turned out to be a serviceman—according to Russian Telegem channels, he was the commander of the 41st Brigade of Missile Ships and Boats of the Black Sea Fleet, a captain of the 1st rank named Valery.
It is alleged that the explosion severed his legs and destroyed his pelvis. Razvozhaev states that the causes will still be investigated, but it is evident that the possibility of sabotage cannot be ruled out. Telegram channels claim that homemade explosives were planted under the front part of the vehicle.
