Russia has reported a large-scale drone attack in several regions, with an oil refinery being among the targets hit.

This is reported by the Russian Ministry of Defense and various Russian Telegram channels.

The Russian Ministry of Defense has announced the destruction of 121 drones. The highest number, 37 drones, were shot down over the Bryansk region. Additional UAVs were neutralized over Moscow and the regions of Ryazan, Kursk, Saratov, Rostov, Moscow, Belgorod, Voronezh, Tula, Oryol, Lipetsk, as well as over the temporarily occupied Crimea.

As Mash reports, local residents in the Ryazan region noticed a fire at the Novo-Ryazanskaya CHPP and at a local oil refinery. The preliminary cause of the fire is the debris from the drones.

The head of the Center for Countering Disinformation under the National Security and Defense Council, Andrey Kovalenko, claims that strategic facilities in Russia have been hit in the region, including this oil refinery.

It is one of the key players in the Russian oil industry, supplying fuel to both civilian and military-industrial complexes.

In the Saratov region, the target was the oil refinery in Engels, where locals heard at least seven explosions, while in Bryansk, the target was the "Kremniy" plant.

Kovalenko says that the "Kremniy" plant was indeed attacked. It manufactures microelectronics for missile systems, for the Pantsir air defense systems, Iskander missiles, as well as for radars and electronic warfare systems, and Russian UAVs.

Due to the attack, several airports temporarily suspended operations: Moscow's Domodedovo, Zhukovsky, Vnukovo, as well as airports in Kazan, Nizhnekamsk, Penza, Saratov, Ufa, and Samara.
