In Odesa, an FSB agent was apprehended for detonating a car belonging to a military prosecutor.

This was reported by the Security Service of Ukraine.

According to the SBU, the young man detonated a car belonging to the prosecutor of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for the Defense of the Southern Region. As a result of the explosion, a passerby sustained injuries.

On the evening of the same day, law enforcement apprehended the perpetrator of the attack. He turned out to be an 18-year-old resident of Odessa, who had been recruited by the occupiers through a Telegram channel looking for "easy" money.

Following instructions from the Russian special service, the young man independently manufactured an improvised explosive device (IED) weighing 300 grams in TNT equivalent in a rented apartment. To enhance its power, he additionally packed the explosive with metal nuts and placed it under the military prosecutor's car. He also set up a hidden mobile phone with remote access capabilities for the FSB opposite the "target."

Later, the Russian special service remotely activated the explosive.

During searches, law enforcement confiscated a mobile phone from the detainee that contained evidence of communication with the occupiers. He has been notified of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (terrorist act). The young man faces up to 12 years of imprisonment with property confiscation.
