In the Kupiansk district, the area for mandatory evacuation of families with children has been expanded.

This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, Oleg Synegubov.

The decision was made by the Regional Defense Council due to the increased shelling.

According to local authorities, there are 90 children from 56 families living in certain villages of the Velykoburluk community, while 177 children from 108 families in the Kondrashev community are subject to evacuation.

In total, 267 children and their families are to be relocated from 16 populated areas to safer locations.

The relevant services have already determined the evacuation routes and temporary housing for the people.

For those wishing to leave the hazardous areas of the Kupiansk district and obtain any information about evacuation activities, a free hotline is available: 0-800-33-92-91.

According to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, on January 22, there were seven attacks by the occupiers in the Kupiansk direction over the past day. Defense forces repelled the enemy's assault actions near Lozova, Zahryzovo, and Petropavlivka.

At the beginning of January, local authorities reported that the front line was already located two kilometers from Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region.
