Strike on Oil Depot in Engels
On the night of January 8, the city of Engels in the Saratov region of Russia was attacked by drones. Local authorities claimed that one of the industrial facilities sustained damage.

Commander of the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade Under Suspicion
The State Bureau of Investigation reported suspicion of unauthorized abandonment of duty and refusal to follow an order against the commander of one of the companies in the 155th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Anna Kyivska, where recent information about soldiers' misconduct has emerged.
The company commander allegedly left the unit without permission and also encouraged his subordinates to do the same.
Meanwhile, the commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Mikhail Drapaty, stated that the situation with misconduct in the 155th brigade is complex, but claimed that there were not widespread cases.
Canada and Denmark Respond to Trump's Territorial Claims
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated that there is no chance that Canada will become part of the USA, contrary to what the elected US President Donald Trump has suggested.
American businessman and Trump associate Elon Musk responded that Trudeau is "no longer the governor of Canada," thus making his statements "irrelevant." He also called the Canadian Prime Minister a "little girl".
