This was reported by the head of the regional military administration, Oleg Synegubov.
Updated at 7:44. The found body fragments have already been preliminarily identified as belonging to one person, said Synegubov. Therefore, as of now, one person has died, not two.
The deceased boy turned 12 in September. Another 15-year-old boy is still trapped under the rubble.
The rescue operation is complicated by significant structural damage to the building and the threat of collapse.
Rescuers have extracted body fragments from the debris. The official reminded that the first victim was an 11-year-old boy. He was pulled from under the rubble with severe head injuries and fractures; doctors attempted to resuscitate him for half an hour.
According to data from the State Emergency Service, the entrance of the apartment building has been destroyed from the 5th to the 1st floor.
As of 5:35 AM on October 31, it was known that there are likely still people trapped under the debris. Emergency rescue operations are ongoing.
It should be noted that the incident preliminarily occurred in the Saltivka district. It is likely that the occupiers used a FAB-500.
President Volodymyr Zelensky reacted to the strike. He emphasized that "every delayed decision by partners means at least dozens, if not hundreds, of such Russian bombs against Ukraine."
