“You know, he’s not an angel. He shouldn’t have allowed this war to happen,” stated the American president.
He thinks that Zelensky is “fighting against something much bigger, much more powerful.” “He shouldn’t have done this because we could have reached an agreement,” emphasized Trump.
Previously, Trump threatened Russia with taxes, tariffs, and sanctions on everything it sells in the U.S. and other countries if Moscow does not stop the war against Ukraine and does not reach a peace agreement.
Earlier, special envoy of the elected U.S. president for Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, stated that he aims to find a resolution regarding the war within 100 days after Trump’s inauguration. He assured that Trump “is not trying to give anything to Putin or the Russians,” but aims to “preserve Ukraine and its sovereignty.”
Bloomberg, citing sources, reported that during any possible negotiations with Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin will insist that Ukraine become a neutral state and that the occupied territories remain with Russia.
