After his disagreement with Zelensky, Trump stated that he is not ready for peace and has shown disrespect towards the United States.

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, after a dispute with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, claimed that Zelensky is allegedly not ready for peace.

He wrote about this on his Truth Social page.

According to him, he and Zelensky had a very substantive meeting at the White House. Trump also added that he learned “many things that could never be understood without a conversation under such fire and pressure”.

“I determined that President Zelensky is not ready for peace if America is involved, because he feels that our involvement gives him a significant advantage in negotiations. I do not want an advantage; I want peace. He showed disrespect to the U.S. in the Oval Office. He can return when he is ready for peace,” Trump wrote.

Following this, Reuters reported that Volodymyr Zelensky left the White House prematurely, and the joint press conference was canceled.

What happened between Zelensky and Trump?

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky argued with his American counterpart Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance regarding the Russian-Ukrainian war.

Initially, Vance stated that the war between Russia and Ukraine should be resolved through diplomacy. In response, the Ukrainian president mentioned that he had already signed an agreement with Putin, in the presence of the President of France and the Chancellor of Germany.

Zelensky also stated that if a bad agreement is signed between Russia and Ukraine, the United States “will feel it.” Vance and Trump were outraged and replied that they would be “just fine,” and added that Zelensky has no right to impose his opinion.
