Trump has tasked special envoy Kellogg with ending the war in Ukraine within 100 days, according to the Wall Street Journal.

According to the publication, Kellogg, like some other special envoys of Trump, was appointed despite lacking relevant experience. Former colleagues of Kellogg state that his previous military experience might be significant for the Republican.

However, Kellogg has never worked as a diplomat, so it is likely that he will not participate in any real negotiations with Russia.

In Moscow, there has been no expressed interest in collaborating with Kellogg, WSJ continues. However, the Kremlin suggests that mutual understanding between Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin could lead to improved relations between the USA and Russia.

Recall that previously, Kit Kellogg had already stated that he aims to find a solution regarding the war within 100 days from Donald Trump's inauguration on January 20.
