Russians launched an attack on Ukraine with 83 drones, but over half of them were successfully intercepted.

On the night of March 3, Russian occupiers launched 83 strike drones of the Shahed type and various types of imitation drones at Ukraine. Almost all of them failed to reach their targets.

This was reported by the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The Russian military launched drones from several locations in Russia: Oryol, Kursk, Millerovo, and Primorsk-Akhtarsk. The aerial assault was repelled by anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Air Forces and Defense Forces of Ukraine.

As of 8:30 AM, 46 "Shaheds" and other types of drones have been confirmed shot down in the Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy, and Dnipropetrovsk regions.

Additionally, another 31 enemy imitation drones were lost in the area (without negative consequences).

Consequences of the Attack

On the evening prior, a drone hit the roof and facade of a five-story building in Kharkiv. Buildings and vehicles were damaged, and eight people were injured, including a six-year-old child.

In Kryvyi Rih, a 52-year-old woman was injured as a result of the attack, reported the head of the Dnipropetrovsk OVA, Serhii Lysak. A fire was extinguished in the city, and an industrial enterprise, a medical facility, six apartment buildings, and vehicles were also damaged. The kamikaze drones targeted the Myrova and Marhanets communities in the region.

As explained by the head of the Cherkasy OVA, Ihor Taburets, a fire broke out at a furniture factory in the regional center due to a drone crash. It was extinguished. Windows and roofs of two buildings and trucks were also damaged. Several neighboring enterprises incurred losses as well.

Additionally, the Sumy, Kyiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions were affected by the enemy attack.
