Poland is funding Starlink for Ukraine and sees no possibility of anyone breaking this contract, according to the Minister of Digitalization.

About this, wrote the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digitalization of Poland, Krzysztof Gavkowski.

He noted that Poland purchased Starlink, which has been transferred to Ukraine, and that it "pays and will continue to pay the subscription fee."

"I cannot imagine anyone deciding to terminate a business contract for a commercial service, of which Poland is a party," Gavkowski pointed out.

Earlier, Reuters, citing three sources, reported that American negotiators, who are pressing Ukraine regarding a mineral agreement, raised the issue of terminating the country's access to Elon Musk's Starlink satellite communication system.

One of the Reuters sources noted that "the loss of Starlink would be a serious blow" for Ukraine.

Currently, Starlink satellite communication systems are used both on the front lines and at critical infrastructure sites. In December 2024, SpaceX received a contract from the U.S. Department of Defense to expand Ukraine's access to Starshield — a more secure, militarized version of the Starlink satellite network.
