Kyiv was attacked by missiles and drones for the first time in 73 days, resulting in injuries in the region.

This was reported by the Kyiv City Military Administration.

They shared that the aerial attack on the capital lasted more than 2 hours. It was initially declared due to drones coming from the east. At the same time, cruise missiles were already heading towards the Kyiv region.

As they approached Kyiv, the Russians also struck the city with ballistic missiles, followed by another drone attack. Videos of Russian drones flying over the city were published on local Telegram channels.

For the attack, it is likely that air-launched cruise missiles, ballistic missiles KN-23/KN-24/"Iskander-M", and drones of the Shahed/"Geran"/"Gerbera"/"Parody" types were used. Air defense successfully destroyed several cruise and ballistic missiles, as well as up to ten drones.

Information on damages and casualties in Kyiv has not been received. However, in the region, a 48-year-old man was injured due to falling debris from downed Russian targets.

He sustained abrasions but refused hospitalization, as reported by the Kyiv OVA. A warehouse caught fire at the site of the debris fall, but the fire has already been extinguished.

Against the backdrop of the Russian attack, “Ukrenergo” announced the introduction of temporary restrictions for businesses and industrial consumers, which will last until the evening.

The reason given was “short-term reduction in maneuverable generation capacity and significant decrease in electricity import volumes.” There will be no restrictions for household consumers.
