In response to a request from "Ukrinform," Ukrzaliznytsia reported this information.

They also noted that due to Russian aggression, 43 railway station buildings have been damaged or destroyed. Other infrastructure facilities have also suffered destruction.

Ukrzaliznytsia further stated that during the seasonal repair and track maintenance works, 737.6 km of tracks were repaired in the first eight months of 2024, which constitutes 62% of the annual planned volume.

“Railway workers are restoring the tracks damaged by the enemy. Since the onset of the full-scale invasion, more than 3,600 km of tracks, 41 station buildings, and other infrastructure facilities have been partially or fully restored to ensure the continued movement of trains,” the response from Ukrzaliznytsia reads.

Looking ahead, Ukrainian railway workers plan to repair over 1,195 km of tracks and 1,073 sets of switch points by the end of the current year.
