Iran has significantly accelerated its uranium enrichment to levels close to those suitable for a nuclear bomb, according to the IAEA.

The head of the IAEA, Rafael Grossi, stated this in a comment to Reuters.

According to him, Iran's production capacity is expected to increase by 7-8 times, or even more. The IAEA also mentioned that Iran has raised the enrichment level of the material fed into two interconnected cascades of modern IR-6 centrifuges at the facility in Fordow.

As a result, Iran is now capable of producing over 34 kg of enriched uranium each month at just one facility, which is pivotal for Tehran's nuclear program. A similar facility is also located in Natanz.

The organization further asserts that Iran must facilitate IAEA inspections to ensure that the Fordow plant is not being "improperly used to produce uranium with a higher enrichment level than declared by the country and that there is no diversion of declared nuclear material."
