This was stated by Alexander Merezhko, a member of the "Servant of the People" party and head of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Foreign Affairs, during a broadcast on "Radio Liberty".
He assures that he has not heard any such discussions and there are no grounds for them. According to him, "this is not even a fantasy," but rather "part of the information warfare" by Russia against Ukraine.
"My most likely version is that Russia is somehow trying to destabilize the situation. This is a kind of disinformation, as they say — IPSO. There is no basis even for such rumors. This is just absurd. There is nothing to comment on here,” says Merezhko.
Recall that the day before, the Spanish newspaper El Mundo, citing diplomatic circles in Kyiv, reported that there are "rumors" in the capital about Zelensky's trip to London after a peaceful settlement is achieved in the Russo-Ukrainian war.
They referred to this as a "golden exile," during which presidential elections should take place in Ukraine. Additionally, all of this would be accompanied by a "quick" accession of Ukraine to the EU, as well as the restoration and deployment of peacekeepers from the UK and France.
